Conference Focus Topics

The 2015 International Fresh-cut Conference will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2015 with a Welcome Reception.  The conference will continue Monday through Wednesday, September 14-16, 2015 with top notch keynote speakers interspersed with oral and e-poster presentations. The agenda of the 2015 International Fresh-cut Conference will be developed utilizing the following key focus topics:

  • Quality & Product Development
  • Temperature & Handling Logistics 
  • Preparation & Processing
  • Packaging & Modified Atmospheres
  • Food Safety & Sanitation
  • Marketing & Consumer Acceptance

Keynote Speakers

Fresh-cut Industry-Academic Panel

Invited panelists will discuss the current innovations and future research needs for the Fresh-cut industry, as well as strengthening industry and academic collaborations. Panelists will include representatives from academia and industry, and the panel will be moderated by Susanne Klose, Fresh Express/ Chiquita.

Optional Technical Tour

An optional technical tour is scheduled for September 17-18, 2015, and will visit fresh-cut operations in the Salinas and Monterey area.  The separate registration fee will include transportation, lodging, one lunch and admission to the California Mission at San Juan Bautista. Space is limited, and is available only to full-registration participants.
